On October 27, Montana Senate Republicans shared that the Senate President, Matt Regier, and the State Superintendent of Schools, Susie Hedalen, have announced legislation to end woke teacher conferences!

No wonder we are seeing strange behaviors to perpetuate a narrative, such as ‘No Kings’, attacks on law enforcement, looting and pillaging, etc.

It is safe to say that astroturfing is being employed when paying (?) protesters to tour Montana on a beautiful day. The intention seems to be to cause a division where there should not be one. Signs held in some places were seen saying, for example, “Hate never made America great”. Agreed. “[Follow] the Constitution”. Agreed. This time around, instructions to the protestors must have included to bring US flags and NOT display them upside down (?)
Do these people know why they are there? Some answers: “Trump’s a [expletive].” Reporter: “Why is that?” Answer: “I don’t know… We don’t like him. That’s the word around here.” Wow. How about this one: “No clue at all. Just go with what everyone else is saying.” Another wow. Maybe we should hope that those clips were all staged or AI created… ?
Either way, this statement by a former presidential candidate seems to be another example of what astroturfing can accomplish.

Thankfully, plenty of material for eye-opening and humorous videos and posts were provided by the NGO organized events:

From Melanie King (click image):
And then we have the President himself showing his sense of humor:
In his opinion published by the Missoulian, Matt Regier says
‘…. Under new leadership, the MTGOP is focused on protecting Republican voters and questioning entrenched Helena “Swamp Bosses” who have abused the Republican brand to maintain power in state government. Heading into the 2026 midterms and 2027 session, Republicans are focused on addressing property taxes, judicial transparency, and election integrity – priorities that would be further along if not for obstruction by Democrats and the self-proclaimed Republicans who empowered them…’
This article is a reminder of a strategy of the left: demoralization. Do not let them accomplish this goal! Stay focused, America First Patriots, and keep fighting for policies that will help America prosper.
Those participating in the meeting – a larger crowd than usual – watched the very enlightening video presentation by Linda Sauer, a founding member of Montana Citizens Action Group. After the video, Tracy Sharp, Representative for HD12, added mind blowing insight into what the PROTECT Act actually adds up to – another attack on the Republic. We were not only given information – this is a call to action. Citizens need to stand up for their rights and the Republican form of government. ONE nation under God.

Links to contact information have been posted under “Take Action”, or, as Linda Sauer says, you can ask MTCAG for them by email: citizens@mtcag.org . Always remember to be polite in your communications.

We were informed that US Representative Ryan Zinke HAS withdrawn his support for HB 3773, but while thanking him, it doesn’t hurt to ask him to put pressure on others to do the same! In the US Senate, Senator Daines is apparently still pushing forward on the issue (SB 1967). Hopefully, we can get him to change his mind as well.

Slides shown by Tracy Sharp gave listeners serious pause. If there ever was a time for grassroots to activate, it is now!

“The Montana Legislature voted to override Gov. Greg Gianforte’s veto of a bill that would use state funds to reimburse counties some of the cost of holding inmates in local detention facilities while awaiting mental health evaluations or treatments.
House Bill 643, brought by Rep. Tracy Sharp, R-Polson, was seen by many as a stop-gap measure to address rising costs to counties that have seen increased mental health issues arising in civil and criminal cases.”

Larry Ashcraft spoke to a full room at the Pachyderm Club meeting yesterday. It is already obvious that those who are most affected by decisions made by the City Council, for example, can bring about change just by being vigilant, asking questions, and keeping an eye on what is being done and how it is being done. Be sure to thank Larry and his four fellow committee members for volunteering their time for all Polson residents! Without the volunteers, the City Council would have had to appoint their own auditors to audit them… This audit was voted for by the residents.
This summer there will be two public meetings for residents to participate in. The audit commission is inviting residents to contact them with concerns. Minutes of the presentation at the Pachyderm meeting will be available soon on this website under “Who We Are/Pachyderms”.
