What is the truth? Never hurts to check sources…

Can we trust that our freedom of religion will always be there? How do we work to ensure that it will? One truth that is hard to dispute is that freedom of religion can only be preserved if Christians get involved in politics. Preaching or following the gospel is not enough. We need the Christian community to be involved. Prayers alone cannot avert the attempts to cleave us from the Bible and the Constitution as well as the Christian values that it is founded on.

Charles Garner, historian and author, has talked extensively on the importance of encouraging our Christian friends to get involved, and we should not forget the book that he wrote to help us in that mission:

Note:

The LCRCC Chair has aptly pointed out that though term limits for those who are our elected officials are a good idea, it is to be remembered that a lot of what they stand for and do is determined by officials not appointed or elected. They can stay on forever and feed agendas to incoming members of Congress… how about term limits for them?

The OPM (U.S. Office of Personnel Management) says:

“Members of the SES [Senior Executive Service] serve in the key positions just below the top Presidential appointees. SES members are the major link between these appointees and the rest of the Federal workforce. They operate and oversee nearly every government activity in approximately 75 Federal agencies.”
