Dear Governor Gianforte, I am becoming more and more disillusioned with the number of RINOs that are now representing the Republican Party and am beginning to wonder if it’s time to dump the party and go full Independent, or if there might be some hope that you and the Republican hierarchy will actually read and start adhering to the State Republican Platform that many of us worked so hard to craft, decades before you even thought of running for office. As the current Madison County Republican Finance Chair and, before that, the Vice Chair or Chairman, for the past 20 years, I have watched our solidly conservative State Representation being taken over by socialists calling themselves Republicans while our so-called leadership turn their heads the other way. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me……..and it’s been ongoing for at least that entire two decades. Your endorsement of all the worst RINOs against the very best of the best adherents to the Party Platform during the primaries last year, without even consulting with the County Republican Central Committees, spoke volumes of your dedication (NOT) to the State GOP Platform. I did not actively campaign against you, but it has become increasingly more difficult to endorse you and this Legislative Session may be the low water mark for your Administration if you don’t VETO the uncontrolled spending included in HB 2, HB 924, HB 863, HB 231, SB 542, SB 542, SB 535, and the Anti-parental rights Bill HB 599. Those of us in the hinterlands that haven’t shared in your success in the software industry are struggling to pay our bills with out of control government spending and Montana has more than their share of reasons to look with contempt at the forces that took us from one of the national leaders in Individual Incomes because of our mining, timber and natural resource sectors to the very bottom of the bucket because of the tree hugging socialists that have moved into the state during my lifetime. Greg, it’s time for you to be the conservative Republican that you told me you were when you first decided to run for office. Quit playing footsie with those within the Party that pretend to be Republicans only because they know that if they declare their true allegiance couldn’t get elected dog catcher. If you want to be a Democrat, run as one. If you want to be a socialist, run as one. If you want to be a Republican as defined by our State GOP Platform, act like one. I feel that you are a very decent Christian man, but between your short term in Congress and your term as Governor, it is becoming increasingly clear to me that the oath you took to uphold, protect and defend the U.S. Constitution and the Montana Constitution don’t represent any real knowledge of what those documents really represent, but rather your personal desire to please enough people to get re-elected to a very compromised office that does anything BUT support the conservative values of our Montana GOP Platform. You need to make a choice to be a Republican per our Platform or continue playing the game. I will be watching, will determine from your actions where you stand with the real Montana GOP (Platform) and will report to the many followers of my podcast and newsletters accordingly. Please VETO HB 2, HB 924, HB 863, HB 231, SB 542, SB 535, and HB 599.
