Many tried reaching Senator Steve Daines’ office to encourage him to vote for the most conservative option for senate majority leader. How many had luck getting through? Mostly (?), no one picked up the phone, and the voice mail box filled up in no time. On X, however, you could tag @SteveDaines with your requests and suggestions as many times as you wanted. It doesn’t mean that he looks at them or cares (?). If you don’t stay polite and factual, you might end up being blocked, but…
If there is enough people poking Senator Daines on a public platform, maybe he will start paying attention to the people’s will? Maybe he did? We don’t know yet, because the Senate seems to think we don’t matter and they can keep their votes secret from those who put them in office. Another heated discussion going on right now on social platforms.
The importance of getting on social media to make your voice heard could not have been more heavily emphasized by Steve Bannon on yesterday’s Zoom call. Social media is where you get real news real time.
Other speakers on the call (General Flynn, Jovan Pulitzer, Marly Hornick, Mel K, etc.) were all reiterating one fact: Trump winning only gave us a respite. We have maybe one year to be ready for the midterms and our chance to put the right people into Congress to help him pursue his common-sense agenda. The purposes of the Trump team have likely already been stymied by the choice of John Thune as Senate Majority Leader. How could that happen? Thune has not supported Trump in the past. We have a lot of work to do to accomplish the changes we want to see in our government. Do not let up, America First Patriots!
